MY STORY
How I went from quitting engineering
to finding my purpose
At 29 years old, I began my life awakening.
I had graduated with a Degree in Aerospace Engineering and had worked in Silicon Valley for a few years. My wife, Katie, and I decided that we were ready to move out of California and I began looking for a new engineering job out of state (easier said than done).
We were on vacation and had a layover in South Florida on our way to scuba dive in Bonaire. I got a call inviting me to an engineering interview in a town called Jupiter. I told them that I was actually in Florida and could come by in person but that I only had flip-flops and board shorts. They didn't mind. Long story short - it was a great fit, they made me an offer and helped us relocate to Jupiter, FL.
In less than 3 weeks, we packed our life up in a moving pod and drove 3000 miles across the country. Everything fell into place so easily...it was definitely meant to be.

For anyone on the outside, I was living the life. I loved engineering. From an intellectual standpoint, I was constantly stimulated and challenged. But there was something inside of me telling me that I was on the wrong path.
Over the course of my years in Silicon Valley and another year of sitting in a cubicle at my engineering job in Jupiter, FL, I had gained over 70 pounds and was at my lowest point.

I was unhealthy (physically and mentally), I was burnt out, and I had become a version of myself that I didn't even recognize.
Despite some judgment and mixed feelings from family and friends, I followed my instinct and left engineering and started pursuing a new career in the fitness industry.

For the past 5 years, I have fully dedicated myself to the process and made some big changes. I learned how to properly fuel my body with food, fell in love with working out again, found a therapist, and got my mental health back to a good spot.
I successfully lost 70 pounds and can honestly say that I'm in the best shape of my life, not just physically but also mentally. I'm married to my best friend, I have two beautiful daughters, I live in a place where I can grow my own food and go to the beach...life is good.

With my engineering background, I was drawn to the science behind fitness and nutrition. I am proud to say that I have received certifications from some of the top training programs, and continue to learn and grow with new courses every year.

Because of this journey, I am passionate about helping you achieve your goals and know what it takes to get there.
